Thanks to Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals, this happened. OK, it might take you more than 30 minutes, especially your first time. But the fact that it can be done in 30 minutes isn't "false advertising". I've made homemade pizza many times and this recipe is ABSOLUTELY the easiest one I've tried. You do need a food processor, and you MUST use the self-rising flour, for this to work within the 30 minute time frame. If you've got that covered, then you really must give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed. It's fun to make, looks incredible, and tastes GREAT!
I doubled the pizza dough recipe and it came out of the food processor exactly as it should. It literally took all of about 60 seconds for the dough to come together. I added less than a 1/4 cup of additional flour. The flour formed into a ball but was still airy and a little sticky. I divided the ball in half and rolled out each half on a floured surface.
Once rolled out, fold and slide into your greased (olive oil) pan. You'll cook the underside of the dough on top of the stove. Once the dough is toasted, take off the burner and add your topping.
The fun part is adding whatever toppings you prefer. I added hot genoa salami, diced red and green pepper, red onion, thinly sliced tomato, fennel seeds, and mozzarella cheese. Use your imagination and tastebuds.

Ingredients:
PIZZA Dough
Instructions: Turn the heat under the frypan up to high and dust a clean surface with flour. Put 1 cups worth of flour into a food processor, then add 1/2 cup with tepid water and add to the flour with a pinch of salt and a drizzle (tsp) of olive oil. Pulse until smooth, then tip on the floured board. Sprinkle the top of the dough and the rolling pin with flour (it will be quite wet, so be generous). Roll the dough to a 1cm or less, thickness. Drizzle olive oil into the pan, then dust dough with flour again and very lightly fold it over into a half-moon shape. If your pan has a plastic handle, cover with tinfoil. Lightly fold the half-moon in half, then move the dough to the pan and unfold it, pushing it down into the sides of the pan. If you don’t have a big enough pan, halve the dough and make two pizzas. Cook on top of stove until pizza crust is lightly browned. You don't want it to burn but you do want it to be crisp and toasted. Once done, take off the burner and add your toppings starting with pizza sauce. Toppings: Add toppings of your choice. If using fresh herbs, like basil, save it until you take the pizza out of the oven so that it adds an extra burst of fresh flavour. After you've added your pizza sauce, add toppings, ending with mozzarella cheese. Then pop back into the oven under broil for 4 to 5 minutes. Slide the pizza onto a nice cutting board and serve immediately.

Since discovering Pinterest, I pretty much exclusively cook from the recipes I PIN. My saying is, "if you can PIN it, you can cook it". I love to PIN recipes and I love to cook. I thought, why not blog the recipes I make from my Pinterest food boards. I'm the self-declared, Pincook. Categories
